Why subscribe?

Delco Rising is independent political reporting on Delaware County.

I go to the meetings. County Council, township councils, planning commissions. I file the Right to Know requests, appeal the denials, and publish whatever comes back.

I’m Nick, a Delco resident who started this because this type of hyper local coverage network doesnt exist.

What I’m building: a correspondent network of residents keeping an eye on their own township, borough, and school board. Forty nine municipalities and I can’t be in all of them. When something happens in Lansdowne or Chester or Marple, it should get the same attention as a County Council meeting, and it should get connected to what’s happening countywide.

That’s the whole model. Hyper local coverage for each municipalities, and amplify necessary stories at the county level. That’s the whole model.
